Date rescued: 5/17/16
Will be going to hew new home in Canada very soon!
Meet Tundra – a gorgeous petite blue-eyed red husky, about 2 years old. Stunning and foxlike, she gets along great with people and other dogs. She hasn’t met cats yet, but so far shows no prey drive with birds or other small animals, so she might be ok with cats. She was picked up by animal control as a stray, and ended up on death row at the LA county shelter due to overcrowding. Hollywood Huskies rescued her on her last day. At only 35 pounds, Tundra was severely underweight when we rescued her, but we’re working on fixing that! This beautiful red head is looking for her forever home!
Update: 10/14/16
Tundra is loving her new home in Canada and has just experienced her first snow! Prior to going up to Canada, she was spayed, and when the vets were in surgery, they discovered she had 8 large tumors. It was a long shot, but the tumors were all successfully removed and they turned out to be benign, a hormonal result of over-breeding and not being allowed to heal between litters. She’s now completely healthy, looking better than ever and her coat has gotten full and gorgeous.
